Merry Christmas from Barbados

Merry Christmas 🎄 from Barbados 🇧🇧!  2023 brought much change to our family and continues to provide opportunities for growth.  For those who love the year in review, here are a few highlights from our year:

Doug & Robyn are now Elder & Sister Ellis serving in the Barbados Bridgetown mission as the Financial Specialist and Mission Health Advisor. We took the leap of faith and a leave of absence for 18 months.  Life is definitely better with sandy toes!

Blake & Alexa became 🏠 home owners this year in Spanish Fork.  Blake is a Director at Tunnl and is quickly becoming a master fly fisherman.  Alexa loves working with her young adult students helping them learn valuable life skills and teaches yoga.

Ashlyn, McKay & Sophie moved to Cedar City where McKay took his first School Counseling position post graduation 🧑‍🎓!  Ashlyn is still a thriving Utah photographer and travels often to various destinations for weddings.  Sophie is adorable as always and enjoys 💃 dance, music 🎶 class, and Disney princesses!

Samantha, Riley, Adam, Cami, and Hudson are in Pleasant Grove.  Riley is the General Manager and Accountant of Tru Rinse.  Sam maintains her business Holly & Stone, started a sticker design store with Ashlyn, and manages 3 littles.  Adam is in preschool and enjoys t-ball and ⚽️ soccer.  Cami is the little princess daredevil who has enough sass and sugar to conquer the world!  Hudson joined the family in September.  It’s been a struggle not to be there snuggling that little bundle.

Sydney returned from her mission in Kansas in March.  She’s attending UVU studying Special Education with a minor in Autism studies.  She works at Maeser as a paraprofessional in the SPED department. She will be joining us for Christmas this year during her 🏫 school break.

The holidays always bring tender feelings, sweet memories, and a special spirit.  As missionaries, we have found that those feelings aren’t reserved for just the holidays but are indeed found daily as we serve others.  We remember praying 🙏 for our kids on their missions and hoping that their mission leaders and senior couples would love ❤️ them as much as we did.  That is what we strive to do daily and it brings us great joy!  The greatest gift 🎁 we receive and share is the love of our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ for all His children and His gospel of good news!  As the world prepares to celebrate the birthday of our Savior, we testify He lives, He loves, and He is walking with us on the covenant path to return to our heavenly home!

Merry Christmas 🎄 & Happy New Year!
