Happy Christmas BOGO
Happy Christmas!
We hope everyone is having a great Christmas so far. We’ve been caught up in the business of mission life, so you get a 2for1 again this week.

, so I’ve been learning some of the mission secretary duties as Sister Stoffers returns home in February and as of yet we don’t have another senior to replace her! Anyone want to come join us in the office??? It’s exciting to open up missionary portal each week to see new missionaries assigned to Barbados. We look at their pictures for months, so by the time they arrive we feel like we know them! We are also anticipating the calls of new mission leaders, as The Bickmores will be returning to CA in June after being here for 3 years. Christmas
in Barbados is different but beautiful. The weather has indeed changed but not by many degrees, but the breeze has returned! It’s fun to see the local decorations. In the office, we’ve been cooking up a little surprise for the young missionaries for next week. The traditions established include: a Christmas reading for the month, dinner, and a small gift exchange. Christmas Eve will also bring all the Barbados zone to the mission home for dinner and an evening social. On Saturday, The District presidency sponsored a Christmas social and over 100 people attended, which was fantastic! Sunday, We also had a special Sacrament meeting island wide and will have our Christmas Eve program next week. Sydney comes on Saturday, so she will get to see mission island life up close. Christmas Day may find us on the beach!

We have Zone Conference this week, which is always a great opportunity. We just love
being with them. Doug has had multiple opportunities this past two weeks to go out teaching with them. They love having him join them as much as he loves doing missionary work that doesn’t require him sitting in front of the computer & allows him to actually share the gospel.

Sister Stoffers & I got to participate in another service project helping put together food hampers. This time it was for the hospital again to send home with new moms. We will miss serving with Kirkham’s when they return home in February.
We also had game night on Friday. These are really fun! JL, Kathy & Jay beat us all this time. We are new to Hand & Foot and a dice game called???? But enjoy the time to just be together.
We listened to a great devotional this week by Elder Bednar from Ensign College. If you haven’t heard it, it’s 38 minutes and it’s great! We are practicing on the word and counsel concerning prayer. Elder Bednar says if we do it right, then it will forever change how we pray. It’s already changing us and we can feel the Spirit more abundantly in our daily lives. Practice upon the word they say…..Yes please!
